The Robot Helper

A family gets a robot. What could go wrong?

Tap any word to hear it.

When the Park family bought a robot, they thought life would be easier.

On the first day, the robot cleaned the whole house in an hour. Everyone was impressed.

On the second day, it cooked dinner. The food was perfect, although a little boring.

On the third day, Mrs Park asked it to water the plants. It watered them, and the sofa, and the TV.

The TV stopped working. "I must have misunderstood," said the robot politely.

Then the son, Jun, asked the robot to do his homework. The teacher noticed immediately.

"Robots don't make spelling mistakes, Jun," she said.

That evening, the family had a meeting. Was the robot a good idea?

In the end, they decided the robot could do the cleaning, but people would cook, garden and do homework.

"Some things," said Mrs Park, "we should do ourselves."
